Delete Your Account & Data

This page explains how to permanently delete your Luma account and the personal data associated with it. Luma is the dating application published by Luma Dating Ltd. You can delete your account directly inside the app at any time — you do not need to email us first.

How to delete your account in the app

1. Open the Luma app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Open Settings (or scroll to the bottom of your profile) and choose Delete Account.
4. Confirm when prompted. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data, including:

• Your sign-in record (email and authentication) — your email is freed so the account is fully removed.
• Your profile: name, date of birth, gender, bio, prompt answers, and other profile attributes.
• Your profile photos and your verification selfie, including the associated facial-verification data (biometric data).
• Your messages and matches, and the chat history for those matches.
• Your likes, "likes you" entries, and discovery history.
• Your emergency / trusted contacts, trusted-friend connections, vouches, and friend recommendations.
• Your date check-ins, date shares, live-location shares, and date reviews.
• Your phone number, push-notification token, and device data held in your account.

What we may keep, and for how long

For legal, safety, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution reasons we may retain a limited amount of information after deletion:

• Ban / re-entry records: if an account was banned for violating our Terms, we keep a record so the banned person cannot simply re-register. This is required to keep the community safe.
• Moderation / safety audit records: records of reports and enforcement actions are retained as an audit trail.

These records do not include your profile, photos, selfie, or messages — those are deleted as described above. Any remaining data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes above and is then removed by routine clean-up.
